Broward Sheriff’s Office said detectives have safely located a man who was last seen in Lauderdale Lakes.

LAUDERDALE LAKES, FL — BSO detectives have safely located 49-year-old Steven Shaak, the agency said.

The update follows a missing persons alert that was issued March 26. According to BSO, Shaak was last seen around 1 p.m. on Monday, March 23, in the 4800 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard in Lauderdale Lakes.

BSO is the agency handling the case and provided the information in its public update.

For Palm Beach County residents, the key point is that the missing persons alert has been resolved with Shaak located safely. BSO did not release additional details in its update about where he was found or what led to his location.

Residents who see missing persons alerts should watch for official updates from the issuing law enforcement agency, including when a person is located.
