Corrections Policy & Editorial Updates

Boca Post is committed to accuracy in every story we publish. When errors occur — whether in our own reporting or in source information we relied upon — we correct them as quickly and transparently as possible.

How We Handle Corrections

In-Story UPDATE Labels

When a story is corrected or materially updated, we add a clearly visible UPDATE line near the top of the article describing what changed and why.

Timestamped Revisions

Substantive corrections include a timestamp so readers know exactly when the information changed. Every article also carries its original publish date and a last-updated date in the article metadata.

Transparent Explanations

If a correction significantly changes the meaning or understanding of a story — for example, if an agency retracts earlier information or a court filing is amended — the correction explains the nature of the change in plain language.

No Silent Edits

We do not silently alter published content. Any material change to a published article is noted with an UPDATE label. Minor typographical fixes may be made without notation.

Corrections vs. Updates

Corrections are applied when a story contains factually incorrect information that requires fixing.

Updates are applied when new information becomes available after publication — for example, when a missing person is located, an agency releases additional details, or a court case advances.

Not every update is a correction, but every correction is clearly noted.

What We Correct

We correct:

  • Incorrect names, dates, locations, or identifying information
  • Misstated facts from public records, agency releases, or witness accounts
  • Inaccurate or unclear attribution
  • Content that could materially mislead readers
  • Information revised or retracted by the originating agency after publication

We do not alter accurate reporting simply because a subject disagrees with facts that are supported by evidence.

AI and Automated Content Corrections

Some Boca Post content is produced with AI writing assistance or through automated processes drawing from official data sources. These articles are subject to the same corrections standards as all other content.

If an automated article contains an error — whether in the source data or in how that data was presented — it will be corrected using the same UPDATE process described above. Human editorial oversight is applied to all published content, including automated and AI-assisted articles.

How to Request a Correction

Readers play an important role in identifying potential errors. If you believe a Boca Post article contains inaccurate information, contact us through the form on our Who We Are page.

Please include:

  • A link to the article
  • A description of the specific concern
  • Any supporting documentation or official records you can provide

We review every correction request. When an error is confirmed, we publish the correction promptly.

Editorial Independence

Corrections are handled exclusively by the editorial team. Advertisers, sponsors, and commercial partners have no influence over correction decisions.
