BSO detectives are asking for help locating a missing 22-year-old last seen at Florida Medical Center in Lauderdale Lakes.

LAUDERDALE LAKES, FL — Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking the public for help locating a missing 22-year-old man who was last seen Tuesday night at Florida Medical Center in Lauderdale Lakes.

Detectives with the BSO Missing Persons Unit are looking for Kimoni Smith, 22. He was last seen at about 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at Florida Medical Center in the 5000 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard, according to BSO.

BSO said facility staff reported Smith left the hospital without medical approval. He was wearing a green medical gown when he left, according to the agency.

Smith is described as about 6 feet 1 inch tall and about 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

BSO is the lead agency handling the missing person investigation through its Missing Persons Unit. Detectives are asking anyone who has seen Smith or knows where he is to contact BSO Missing Persons Detective Gino Parram at 954-321-4200.

Tips can also be made through the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-HELP (4357).

Residents in Broward County and nearby areas should watch for someone matching Smith’s description, particularly someone wearing a green medical gown, and report any information to BSO using the numbers provided.
