50-Year-Old Annie St. Gerard Passed Away Following Deadly Crash

WILTON MANORS, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — A 50-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle and killed in Wilton Manors on January 10th, 2023.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, detectives with the Traffic Homicide Unit are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian in Wilton Manors.

At approximately 7:47 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10, officers with the Wilton Manors Police Department responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash in the 100 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard. The pedestrian, Annie St. Gerard, was transported to Broward Health Medical Center. More than two weeks later, on Jan. 28th, St. Gerard was pronounced deceased as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash. At the request of the Wilton Manors Police Department, BSO’s traffic homicide detectives are investigating this delayed fatality.

Based on the information obtained and with assistance from the Wilton Manors Police Department, BSO investigators determined that St. Gerard was attempting to cross North Andrews Avenue in the middle of the block. At the same time, a 2009 Nissan Altima driven by Tiffany Mills, was traveling eastbound on West Oakland Park Boulevard. The front passenger side of the Altima struck St. Gerard, causing her to travel across the hood, strike the windshield and tumble onto the roadway. Mills remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Detectives say excessive speed is not considered a contributing factor to the crash.
