Bicyclist Struck By Car, Killed

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — A man on a bicycle was struck by a BMW X5 and killed after failing to adhere to the traffic signal.

The crash happened at 9 PM on Sunday, May 28th, 2023 in central Broward County. Detectives say that a 2014 BMW X5 was heading west on West Sunrise Boulevard at the same time a bicyclist was approaching the intersection at NW 27th Ave.

The man riding a Magna Exitor 21 “speed bike” was observed traveling through a red “no walk” sign at the intersection just before being slammed into by the BMW in a “T-Bone” style crash.

The man was pronounced deceased by BSO Fire Rescue. BSO says that the driver of the BMW remained at the scene and has been cooperative.

  1. Sad the guy died. But I’m curious as to what the toxicology report will reveal.
    Was he BUI?
