Woman Shot, Killed In Lauderdale Lakes

LAUDERDALE LAKES, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — BSO deputies responded to a shooting in Lauderdale Lakes where they found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Homicide Unit detectives are investigating an early morning shooting in Lauderdale Lakes that left a woman dead.

At approximately 12:18 a.m., on Thursday, May 18, Broward County Regional Communications received reports of a shooting in the 2700 block of Somerset Drive in Lauderdale Lakes. BSO deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded. On scene, deputies located an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported the victim to Broward Health Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased at 1:51 a.m.

BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units responded to the scene to investigate the circumstance surrounding the shooting. Detectives spoke to an adult male who was present at the time of the shooting and is cooperating with the investigation.
