BSO detectives are asking for help locating a missing 17-year-old last seen in Tamarac.

TAMARAC, FL — Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help locating a missing 17-year-old.

BSO identified the teen as Brisa Velasco, 17.

Detectives said Velasco was last seen around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 28, in the 8700 block of Northwest 57th Street in Tamarac.

BSO described Velasco as 5 feet, 8 inches tall and about 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Detectives said she was last seen wearing all black clothing.

BSO is handling the case through its detectives and is asking anyone with information about Velasco’s whereabouts to call BSO Detective Chris Blankenship at 954-321-4268.

Residents can also contact the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-HELP (4357).
