BSO Searching for Missing 14-year-old Last Seen in Tamarac

BSO detectives are asking the public for help locating a 14-year-old who was last seen early Monday near the 5800 block of Northwest 62nd Avenue in Tamarac.

BSO detectives are asking for the public’s help locating a missing 14-year-old last seen near the 5800 block of Northwest 62nd Avenue in Tamarac.

BROWARD COUNTY, FL — Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit are asking for the public’s help locating a missing 14-year-old girl who was last seen in Tamarac.

BSO said Malaysia Edwards was last seen at about 1:18 a.m. on Monday, June 15, near the 5800 block of Northwest 62nd Avenue in Tamarac. Investigators said she was last seen wearing a hoodie and shorts.

BSO described Edwards as approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and about 125 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The case is being handled by the BSO Missing Persons Unit. BSO is asking anyone who has information about Edwards’ whereabouts to contact BSO Missing Persons Detective Leonard Charla at 954-321-4274.

Tips can also be made through the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-HELP (4357).

Residents in Boca Raton and across South Florida who may have seen Edwards, or who have information that could help locate her, are being asked to call. BSO did not release additional details about the circumstances of her disappearance.
