1 Killed, 1 Injured In Pompano Beach Shooting, Suspect At Large

POMPANO BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — BSO is searching for a suspect they say shot two people, killing 1 in Pompano Beach.

According to BSO, detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that killed a man on Friday evening in Pompano Beach.

A 9-1-1 call was received by BSO at 6:24 p.m. on Friday, June 30, regarding a shooting at 251 South Dixie Highway West in Pompano Beach. BSO deputies responded along with Pompano Beach Fire Rescue to the scene where they located two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim died at the scene. The other victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives responded and began investigating the circumstances of the shooting. Detectives are releasing the surveillance image above of the suspected shooter. The individual is described as a male, 5’5” tall with a slim build. He was last seen walking westbound on Southwest Second Place from South Dixie Highway. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
