Boca Raton Man Crashed Truck After Heart Attack, Died
Crash Near Lyons Road And Palmetto Park Road
BOCA RATON, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — A 71-year-old man reportedly had a heart attack while driving and crashed in West Boca Raton early on Monday morning.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the 71-year-old was driving eastbound on Palmetto Park Road, passing the intersection of Lyons Road. The driver experienced a medical episode, and slowed his vehicle, steering to the right. The truck impacted the guard rail end cap, causing minimal damage to the front bumper.
Witnesses observed the slow vehicle, and its impact, and went to the truck to render aid calling 9-1-1. EMS transported the driver, who was unresponsive upon their arrival, to Boca Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased at 7:18 a.m.
