TAMARAC, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — A man was shot and killed in Tamarac on Wednesday evening.

Around 7;31 p.m., the Broward County Regional Communications center received a call reporting gunfire in the vicinity of the 7000 block on Northwest 79th Avenue in Tamarac. Deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Tamarac Fire Rescue promptly responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered an adult male who had sustained a gunshot wound. They swiftly established a perimeter around the area. Medical personnel pronounced the adult male deceased at the scene. Initial investigations indicate that the individual was shot while inside a vehicle, subsequently leading to him driving away and colliding with a nearby pole. The BSO Homicide Unit has been notified and is currently investigating to determine more details about this incident.
