FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — Fort Lauderdale Police say that the shooting death of Travon Warren does not appear to be related to Spring Break.
FLPD responded to a shooting incident on NE 57th Street around 1;01 pm on Saturday, March 9th, 2024. Evidence of the shooting was found at the scene and shortly after that discovery, it was reported that a shooting victim had been taken to Imperial Point Hospital. Currently, three individuals are being held for questioning at the scene as authorities work to determine if there are any additional suspects involved.
Tragically, the adult male victim was pronounced dead upon arrival at Imperial Point Hospital. Detectives have not found any other victims or suspects related to this case. The investigation is ongoing with no arrests made yet.
FLPD has identified the victim as 20-year-old Travon Warren. They are exploring all angles, including the possibility of self defense. The individuals involved in the incident are local residents and there is no indication that this is linked to spring break activities. Cooperation from all parties has been forthcoming, with no arrests made thus far.
