LAUDERDALE LAKES, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — Three individuals have been apprehended in relation to the shooting incident involving a teenager, in The neighborhood of Lauderdale Lakes. .

Three teenagers have been taken into custody by detectives from the Broward Sheriffs Office Homicide Unit in relation to a shooting incident that resulted in the death of a 16 year old and the injury of another minor, in Lauderdale Lakes.

The shooting happened around 8;30 p.m on Monday night at Northwest 30th Terrace near the 4000 block area in Broward Countys neighborhood. Authorities from BSO and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue rushed to the scene where they found two individuals who had been shot. The victims were taken to hospitals for treatment. Regrettably Amari Dreakford a 16 year old was pronounced dead due to his injuries, at Broward Health Medical Center while the second victim is recovering from life threatening injuries. BSO Crime Scene and Homicide detectives were called in to investigate.

During the investigation process, detectives discovered that Dreakford and two other 16 year old boys were given a ride to the place by 18 year Clovenson Alexandre It was mentioned that Alexandre drove them to the location in order for Dreakford to engage in a gun transaction, with a 15 year boy.

During the exchange of goods or services at the transaction spot in Dreakfords vicinity, an attempt to take possessions using a weapon that can discharge projectiles was made by Dreakford towards the 15 year individual. A physical confrontation arose between them. As a result of this altercation, the 15 year olds companion who happened to be nearby intervened by firing a shot at Dreakford. Following this incident involving an attempt at robbery resulting in gunfire Alexandre along with two passengers and the 15 year old individual along, with their companion hastily departed from the location where the shooting occurred.

After conducting their investigation thoroughly detectives were able to determine the individuals linked to the incident. Subsequently issued warrants, for both Alexandre and the passengers who were 16 years old.

On Monday the 26th of August this year the investigators from BSOs V.I.P.E.R., which stands for Violent Intervention Proactive Enforcement Response apprehended a man named Alexandre who is 18 years old and two other teenage boys aged 16 on suspicion of armed robbery in connection, to the incidents that preceded Dreakfords passing as well as the shooting of a 15 year old boy that did not result in death.

Currently all individuals suspected of being involved in the murder case have been. Investigators are collaborating with the Broward State Attorney’s Office to explore potential legal action.
