BROWARD COUNTY, FL — BSO detectives have safely located a 16-year-old who was reported missing from North Lauderdale, the agency said.
Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives said Shana Miller was found in Fort Lauderdale.
The missing persons alert was issued Sunday, July 19, according to BSO. The alert followed a report that she was last seen around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 2, in the 4700 block of Southwest 14th Court in North Lauderdale.
BSO is the agency handling the case and issued the update on her status.
No additional details were released by BSO about where in Fort Lauderdale she was located or what led detectives to her.
What happens next was not outlined in the agency’s statement. Residents who see missing-persons alerts should watch for official updates from the investigating agency, including when a person has been located, to avoid sharing outdated information.

BROWARD COUNTY, FL — Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking the public for help locating a missing 16-year-old who was last seen in North Lauderdale.
According to BSO, the teen was last seen around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, in the 4700 block of Southwest 14th Court in North Lauderdale.
BSO identified the missing teen as Shana Miller. Detectives described her as 5 feet, 4 inches tall and about 115 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
BSO is the agency handling the search and the public information request. Detectives are asking anyone who has information about her whereabouts to contact BSO Detective Leonard Charla at 954-321-4274.
