Today's Weather - Tuesday, April 14, 2026

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Partly sunny skies and a steady east breeze set the tone for Boca Raton today, with highs near 79. Winds will be noticeable at times, with gusts around 20 mph, keeping the air comfortable but making the beach and nearshore waters rougher. Rain chances remain very low through midweek. The biggest safety issue is the ocean: a high rip current risk continues at east coast beaches through at least Wednesday evening

South Florida’s weather pattern stays locked in today, and that’s why the forecast looks a lot like the past few mornings. The National Weather Service notes a strong area of high pressure aloft remains in control, which helps keep the air drier and limits cloud growth.

For Boca Raton, that translates to a mostly quiet day: partly sunny skies, a high near 79, and little to no chance of rain. The other piece of the setup is the wind.

With high pressure nearby, an onshore (east) breeze continues, running around 10–15 mph with higher gusts. That breeze can make it feel a touch cooler near the coast and also keeps humidity from spiking early in the day.

Overnight, expect partly cloudy skies and a mild low near 70 with the breeze continuing. Looking ahead, the same general pattern holds through the end of the workweek: mostly sunny to sunny skies, gradually warming afternoons, and slowly easing winds as the pressure difference relaxes.

Boca’s coastal waters stay on the rougher side today due to persistent east winds. Nearshore Atlantic winds run about 15–20 knots with seas around 3–5 feet (occasionally near 6 feet), and the Intracoastal can be choppy in exposed areas.

Conditions gradually improve later this week as winds ease, but a moderate chop may linger. For beachgoers, the onshore flow is also driving a high rip current risk along the east coast beaches through at least Wednesday evening.

If you’re heading to the sand, swim near a staffed lifeguard and avoid entering the water if you’re not a strong swimmer.
