Two Adults And An Infant Among The Dead Following The Dale Spidle’s Violent Crime Spree.

UPDATE – 5/23/22

Coral Springs PD tells Boca Post that the Crimes Against Persons Unit (CAPS) was able to obtain an arrest warrant to charge Dale Daniel Spidle with two counts of 1st-degree homicide. That is the third homicide charge Spidle is now facing after his violent crime spree in North Broward.

From Coral Springs Police:

During a thorough investigation by our investigators, evidence was obtained indicating that Spidle was solely responsible for the death of Elizabeth Carmona, W/F 61 YOA, and a male infant approximately 10 months old.  After entering the victim’s residence, Spidle attacked both victims without provocation and fled the residence, resulting in several vehicle crashes and the murder of another male adult in Pompano Beach.

Carmona was pronounced deceased within her residence and the male infant victim was pronounced deceased after being transported to Broward General by Coral Springs – Parkland Fire Rescue for treatment.  Preliminary reports obtained from the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office indicate that both victims died as a result of “BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA.” At the time of the incident, the male infant was being cared for by Carmona, who was identified as a relative of the infant and his parents.

CORAL SPRINGS, FL (Boca Post) — A Coral Springs man is in jail this morning following his alleged crime spree that left three people, including a Coral Springs woman and baby, senselessly murdered.

Dale Spidle, 35, of the Ramblewood Apartments in Coral Springs, is in the custody of the Broward Sheriff’s Office following a chaotic crime spree that ended late Friday afternoon.

The carnage was first reported at about 2 PM when a hit-and-run crash was reported near the 8100 block of Wiles Road in Coral Springs. Coral Springs Police did not chase Spidle per their pursuit policy.

Then, as reported first by Boca Post, another crash was reported near Powerline Road and Sample Road. Investigators tell Boca Post that after that crash, Spidle shot another driver in the head before he fled in a white utility truck. That man was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Spidle was then spotted at a Shell station in Coconut Creek after causing a third crash which injured two additional people. Now, Spidle was seen naked in the parking lot of the gas station at Sample Road and Lyons Road. Coconut Creek PD was able to catch up with Spidle and take him into custody without further incident.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Coral Springs Officers also responded to Coconut Creek and several witnesses confirmed the identity of the suspect responsible for the hit and run accidents.

BSO and Coral Springs Police then made the gruesome discovery that Spidle had murdered a woman next door and critically injured an infant. The infant later died at the hospital. The violent attacks happened at the Ramblewood East Condominium in the 4000 block of NW 88th Ave in Coral Springs.

A witness says that Spidle had a conflict with the parents of the infant over the noise.

Dale Spidle is currently in BSO custody and has been denied bail. While there are most likely more charges pending, according to BSO, he is currently being held for:

  • MURDER PREMEDITATED
  • ROBBERY BY SUDDEN SNATCHING WO FIREARM OR WEAPON
  • AGGRAVATED BATTERY WITH A DEADLY WEAPON
  • RESIST OFFICER-OBSTRUCT WITH VIOLENCE
  • BURGLARY OCCUPIED DWELLING UNARMED
  • 3 counts of LEAVE SCENE CRASH INVOLVING DAMAGE TO PROP
