DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A pedestrian died Monday night after being struck by a train near West Hillsboro Boulevard and Dixie Highway in Deerfield Beach, according to investigators.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the incident, which was reported shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2. Investigators said Broward County Regional Communications received a report of a crash involving a Brightline train in the area.

Detectives said a preliminary investigation indicates an unidentified adult male was walking westbound on the sidewalk and attempting to cross the east set of railroad tracks when he was struck by a train.
