December 24th of the year 2025 brings news of a heartwarming update from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit regarding 12 year Maya Edwards who had gone missing from Pompano Beach earlier this week. Fortunately. Joyfully so. Edwards is now reported to be safe and unharmed after being located by detectives. As a result of this development in the case. She has been happily reunited with her family. The search for Edwards began on Saturday the 21st of December when she was last spotted near the area, around Northeast 41st Street at 4h30 in the morning.

POMPANO BEACH, FL — The Broward County Sheriffs Office is asking for help in locating 12-year-old Maya Edwards from Pompano Beach.

The Broward County Sheriffs Office has reached out to the community for assistance, in finding Maya Edwards, a 12 year old who has gone missing from Pompano Beach.

Detectives reported that Edwards was spotted last around 4;30 a.m. on December 21st in the vicinity of the 1400 block of Northeast 41st Street area.

She stands at 5 feet 3 inches tall. Weighs approximately 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
