Man Dies After Being Struck By Tri-Rail Train In Pompano Beach

POMPANO BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — A tragic incident occurred in Pompano Beach where a man lost his life after being hit by a Tri Rail train. The Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit is currently investigating the details surrounding this event that took place on Thursday night. Authorities were alerted to the collision between the pedestrian and the train near Northwest 13th Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Pompano Beach just before 11 p.m. Eyewitnesses reported that the man, whose identity remains undisclosed, walked onto the tracks from east to west and turned towards the approaching train before being struck by it. Despite efforts from emergency responders, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Broward Sheriff’s Office deployed crime scene and homicide detectives to conduct a thorough investigation into this tragic incident.

The pedestrian’s remains were taken to the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination. There is currently no suspicion of any criminal activity. The inquiry is still ongoing.
