POMPANO BEACH, FL — The Special Victims Unit of the Broward Sheriffs Office has unveiled a sketch depicting a man involved in an attempted abduction of a 15 year girl in Pompano Beach along, with surveillance footage showing the suspects vehicle.

Investigators stated that a terrible incident took place at 6;45 a.m on Thursday the 29th of August in the vicinity of the 200 block of Northwest 12th Court. The young girl informed investigators that she was on her way to school walking towards the west on Northwest 12th Court when an unfamiliar man driving a sedan pulled up and instructed her to enter his car. She. Proceeded to walk in the same direction, towards the west.

Authorities mentioned that the man drove next, to the girl more brandishing a black and grey weapon while instructing her to enter his vehicle. She promptly escaped to a location and notified the authorities about the situation. The mans vehicle then sped off in a direction.

The surveillance footage in the vicinity shows the victim on her way, to school with the subjects vehicle trailing behind her before leaving the scene.

The individual in question was identified as a grown man, in his twenties to mid thirties with stubble on his face and dressed in a white sleeveless shirt and black athletic shorts while operating a gray sedan during the event.
