POMPANO BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking the public for help locating a missing 55-year-old woman who was last seen in Pompano Beach.

Detectives said Amy Bedell was last seen on Jan. 13, 2026, near 520 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Pompano Beach.

Bedell is described as about 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing around 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Detectives said Bedell’s family recently reported her missing to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

BSO is handling the missing person investigation. Anyone with information on Bedell’s whereabouts is asked to contact BSO Missing Persons Det. Chris Blankenship at 954-321-4268.

Tips can also be made through the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-HELP (4357).

Residents who may have seen Bedell near the area where she was last seen, or who have information that could help locate her, are asked to call. BSO did not release additional details in the alert.

The next step, BSO said, is gathering information from the public that could help detectives locate Bedell.
