BSO said a missing persons alert issued Jan. 29 for a 32-year-old man last seen in Pompano Beach has been closed after he was safely located.

POMPANO BEACH, FL — A missing persons alert issued out of Broward County has been closed after BSO detectives said the man has been found safe.

Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit detectives said a missing 32-year-old man has been safely located. The agency identified him as David Valenzuela.

The alert was issued on Jan. 29. BSO said he had last been seen around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, in the 1200 block of Southwest 26th Avenue in Pompano Beach.

BSO’s Missing Persons Unit handled the case. The agency has not released additional details about where he was located or the circumstances.

For residents in Boca Raton and across South Florida, the update means the missing persons alert tied to this case is no longer active. Anyone who had shared the alert or was looking for him can stand down.

BSO is the lead agency listed on the alert and is responsible for missing persons investigations in its jurisdiction. Any further updates would come from BSO’s Public Information Office.
