POMPANO BEACH, FL — A missing persons alert issued out of Broward County has been closed after BSO detectives located a 39-year-old woman who was reported missing from Pompano Beach.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit said the woman, Erica Lowman, has been found safe and unharmed.
BSO had issued the alert Thursday, May 7. Investigators said Lowman was last seen at about 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, near the 800 block of Briny Avenue in Pompano Beach.
The update from BSO did not include where she was found or additional details about the circumstances. The agency said only that detectives located her and she is safe.
Authority for the case sits with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit, which handled the alert and the follow-up investigation.

POMPANO BEACH, FL — Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help locating a 39-year-old woman reported missing from Pompano Beach.
BSO’s Missing Persons Unit said Erica Lowman was last seen at about 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, near the 800 block of Briny Avenue.
Investigators said she was wearing a blue shirt and jean shorts.
Lowman is described as about 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing around 100 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
According to her family, she experiences mental illness.
The case is being handled by BSO’s Missing Persons Unit. Anyone with information on Lowman’s whereabouts is asked to contact BSO Detective Leonard Charla at 954-321-4274 or call the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-HELP (4357).
