GREENACRES, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A driver has been identified in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist April 20 along 10th Avenue North near Perry Avenue in Greenacres, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say the bicyclist was traveling westbound in the bicycle lane on 10th Avenue North approaching Perry Avenue. A Kia Sorento was also traveling westbound in the outside lane. The front passenger-side corner of the vehicle struck the rear of the bicycle. The bicyclist was thrown toward the northwest corner of the intersection and came to rest on the grass shoulder. The vehicle continued westbound on 10th Avenue North and left the area.
The bicyclist was pronounced deceased on scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. The time of death was recorded as 5:31 a.m. The victim’s identity has not been released, and next of kin had not been notified at the time of the report.
PBSO investigators later identified the vehicle as a black Kia Sorento, model years 2020 through 2026, based on parts recovered at the scene. Authorities have now identified the driver as Aurie Saez Morales of Greenacres. Investigators state that both the driver and the vehicle have been located and identified. The investigation remains active under the direction of Inv. J. Frey.
