FLORIDA — A Florida Silver Alert has been issued for a missing man last known to be in Clermont, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

FDLE said the alert is for Frank Malone, 78, from Clermont in Lake County. He is described as a white male with white hair and hazel eyes, 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 210 pounds.

Silver Alerts are used to help locate missing older adults, and the goal is to get information out fast so the public can help law enforcement identify leads. For South Florida residents, these alerts matter because people travel across the state every day, and tips can come from anywhere, not just the last known area.

FDLE listed Clermont, in Lake County, as the last known area. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is the agency handling tips and information.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lake County Sheriff’s Office at 352-343-2101 or call 911.

What happens next is straightforward: law enforcement will continue efforts to locate him, and the public is being asked to watch for someone matching the description and report information immediately through the sheriff’s office or 911. Residents should rely on official updates from FDLE and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and share only confirmed details when passing the alert along.
