FLORIDA (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A Florida Missing Child Alert has been issued for a 16-year-old girl, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

FDLE said the alert is for Naomi Cernik, who is missing in Florida. The agency’s Missing Child Information Center posted the alert and a flyer with identifying details.

Cernik is described as a white female with blonde hair and brown eyes. FDLE lists her height as 5 feet 2 inches and her weight as 95 pounds.

Missing Child Alerts are meant to get information out quickly and widen the search by putting the public on notice. For South Florida residents, that matters because missing child cases can move across county lines fast, and the alert is designed to reach people well beyond the area where the child was last known to be.

FDLE is directing anyone with information to contact the Clay County Sheriff's Office at 904-264-6512 or call 911.

Authority for the case sits with the Clay County Sheriff's Office, which is the agency FDLE lists as the contact for tips. FDLE’s role is to issue the statewide alert and distribute the identifying information.

What happens next is driven by tips and investigative follow-up. Residents who think they have information are being asked to call law enforcement directly rather than posting it online, and to use the number provided for the Clay County Sheriff's Office or 911.

The FDLE flyer with the alert information is posted online at: http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/MCICSearch/Flyer.asp?ID=508795.
