Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit have released the names of the two deceased individuals:

  • Khadim Kebe, male, 11/27/1986, Texas (DECEASED)
  • Mohamed Badenjki, male, 5/5/1972, North Miami Beach (DECEASED)

WESTON, FL — BSO is investigating a plane crash that killed two in Weston on Tuesday evening.

On Wednesday, January 24th, at approximately 10;30 a.m., Broward County Regional Communications received a report about a possible missing aircraft. The plane had taken off from Perry Airport around 6;30 p.m. On Tuesday, January 23rd.

In response to this, the Broward Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit and BSO Weston District deputies headed towards Mile Marker 28 and US 75, the last known location of the aircraft. BSO Aviation successfully located the single engine plane that had landed in the water. BSO Fire Rescue and the Marine Unit were called in and discovered two deceased adult males at the scene. Additionally, a small brush fire near the plane was promptly extinguished. The crash is currently being investigated by BSO Homicide and Crime Scene detectives.

Both the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office and FAA were present at the scene, with NTSB also expected to arrive for further investigation.
