BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — 19-year-old Manuel Barraza was arrested for lewd and lascivious behavior charges after being accused of having sexual relations with a 14-year-old Boca Raton girl on several occasions.

The girl told investigators that the two met on Snapchat sometime last year and started meeting in person soon after. The girl admits to sneaking out of her family’s home to meet with ‘Manny’, the then-18-year-old who lived nearby in Gables Palma Vista townhomes in Boca Raton.

Manuel ‘Manny’ Barraza, now 19, according to arrest records, has since moved to Delray beach. When the teenager was living in Boca Raton, he would pick the girl up and they would drive to a secluded area and have sex in his car. The girl claims that Manny knew that she was only 14 at the time and he was fine with that.

The girl told investigators that Manny would always ask for oral sex to be performed on him and that they had sexual intercourse several times.

PBSO investigators have subsequently performed DNA analysis on some of the girl’s underwear which has since been used to incriminate the 19-year-old. Manny has since retained legal counsel and has not provided a statement to detectives.

Manuel ‘Manny’ Barraza has been arrested and charged with 800.04(4A1B) LEWD OR LASCIVIOUS BATTERY. Barraza was arrested on 4/9/22 and released on $15,000 bail the following day.
