BROWARD COUNTY, FL — Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are searching for an 84-year-old man and are asking the public to help locate him.
Detectives with the BSO Missing Persons Unit said they are looking for Jim Brown, who was last seen at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, near the 3600 block of Northwest 37th Avenue in Lauderdale Lakes.
Investigators said Brown was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white and blue striped shirt, black shoes and a red hat.
Detectives said he may be driving a brown 2017 Hyundai Sonata with Florida tag LMGD01.
Brown is described as about 6 feet 1 inch tall, about 200 pounds, with grey hair and brown eyes.
According to his family, Brown lives with dementia and other health ailments.
Authority for the search and the public request sits with the BSO Missing Persons Unit, which is handling the investigation.
Residents in Broward County and nearby areas should watch for Brown and the described vehicle, and call law enforcement with any information.
