DELRAY BEACH, FL — Assistant Chief Anthony Martinez has completed one of law enforcement’s best-known leadership programs.
The Delray Beach Police Department publicly congratulated Martinez after his graduation from FBI National Academy Session 298 in Quantico, Virginia, according to a department post.
The agency described the FBI National Academy as a premier law enforcement leadership program, saying fewer than 1 percent of law enforcement professionals have the opportunity to attend.
According to Delray Beach Police, the program is designed to develop executive leadership, professional excellence and long-term partnerships among law enforcement leaders from across the United States and other countries.
For Delray Beach, the recognition is a police leadership milestone rather than a crime or enforcement update. The department said Martinez’s completion of the program reflects his commitment to professional development, leadership and service to the community.
The department also said the achievement brings distinction to Martinez, the Delray Beach Police Department and the City of Delray Beach.
A photo shared with the post shows Martinez standing at the FBI National Academy, with an American flag and FBI National Academy flag visible in the background.
Delray Beach Police said it looks forward to the continued impact of Martinez’s leadership as the department works to keep the city safe.
