POMPANO BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help locating a 38-year-old woman reported missing from Pompano Beach.

BSO’s Missing Persons Unit is looking for Tenezia Sims, 38, according to a BSO release.

Investigators said Sims was last seen at about 1 a.m. Thursday, May 7, near the intersection of Sample Road and Northwest 27th Avenue in Pompano Beach.

BSO described Sims as about 5 feet 5 inches tall and around 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a pink tank top, a black skirt with a flower design, and blue slides, BSO said.

BSO said Sims experiences mental illness.

The Missing Persons Unit is handling the case. BSO is asking anyone who has information about Sims’ whereabouts to contact BSO Detective Leonard Charla at 954-321-4274 or call the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-HELP (4357).

What happens next depends on tips from the public and follow-up by detectives. Residents in Boca Raton and across Palm Beach County who travel through Broward, or who may have been in the Sample Road and Northwest 27th Avenue area around the time she was last seen, are being asked to check what they know and report any information to BSO.
