FLORIDA (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A Florida Missing Child Alert has been issued for a 16-year-old girl last known to be in Homestead, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

FDLE identified the missing teen as Antoinette Smith, 16. She is described as a Black female with black hair and brown eyes. FDLE listed her height as 5 feet, 5 inches and her weight as 120 pounds.

The last known area provided in the alert is Homestead, in Miami-Dade County.

Missing Child Alerts are distributed statewide through FDLE to help locate missing children and get information to the public quickly. In South Florida, that means residents across county lines may see the alert and be asked to help by reporting tips to law enforcement.

Authority for the investigation and tip intake sits with the Homestead Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to contact Homestead Police at 305-247-1535 or call 911.

What happens next is driven by incoming tips and the ongoing law enforcement response. Residents should watch for official updates from FDLE and Homestead Police and report information directly to police rather than posting unverified claims online.

FDLE’s official flyer for this Missing Child Alert is posted at http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/MCICSearch/Flyer.asp?ID=510808.
