BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Boca Raton will be sunny and warm today with a high near 79, and winds staying light before turning easterly this afternoon. The air will remain very dry, which can make it feel comfortable in the shade but also increases fire danger, especially away from the immediate coast. Tonight stays clear with lows near 63. At the beach, a high rip current risk continues for Palm Beach County through this evening, so use extra caution in the surf

South Florida’s weather pattern is staying locked in place today and into early week, and that’s why Boca Raton is set up for another bright, quiet day. The National Weather Service says high pressure is sitting over the state from the surface up through the upper levels of the atmosphere.

In plain terms, that “lid” in the sky helps keep clouds from building and keeps rain chances extremely low. The other big piece of the forecast is how dry the air is.

Forecasters noted very low moisture values and a dry layer just above the surface, which is why dew points have been running well below normal. That matters because it lowers afternoon humidity and can dry out vegetation quickly.

While the strongest fire-weather concerns are typically inland, the overall message for the region is the same: avoid anything that could spark a brush fire, and be mindful that grasses and landscaping can dry out fast. With the pressure pattern overhead, winds will be weak.

Boating conditions remain generally benign with high pressure nearby keeping winds light. For the Boca Raton area waters (Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach), winds run around 5 knots today with seas 2 to 3 feet, easing to around 2 feet tonight.

Early week stays similar, but seas may build midweek—marine guidance shows 4 to 6 feet on Wednesday offshore, which could make for a rougher ride for smaller craft. Along the coast, the bigger concern is the surf zone: Palm Beach County beaches have a high rip current risk today, so swim near lifeguards and avoid entering the water if you’re not a strong swimmer.

Current Advisories / Watches / Warnings
