DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — Unfortunately, detectives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit have confirmed the sad news that a 71 year old woman who was reported missing has been found deceased.

Marie Jean Marie’s body was discovered in a lake on the south side of Sample Road in Pompano Beach around 6 p.m. On Monday, July 8. She was pronounced dead at the scene and investigators from BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene unit are looking into the matter. The Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death, with no suspicion of foul play at this time. Jean Marie was last seen near the 1300 block of Southwest 11th Avenue in Deerfield Beach around 2;30 a.m.

On Monday, July 8, prompting a missing person alert to be issued, as Boca Post reported.
