According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, detectives from the Traffic Homicide Unit are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in the Town of Pembroke Park on Sunday.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., on May 7, the driver of a 2015 Infinity Q50a sedan was traveling westbound on Hallandale Beach Boulevard. Upon reaching the intersection of Southwest 32nd Avenue, the driver, Dave Pascal, entered the designated left turn lane and proceeded to conduct a U-turn. At the same time, a 2008 Dodge Charger sedan was traveling eastbound on Hallandale Beach Boulevard in the far right thru lane proceeding into the intersection as the Infinity conducted the turn.

The front the of the Charger collided with the passenger side of the Infinity in a T-bone-style collision. Both vehicles were redirected into the southeast corner of the intersection where they came to a final rest.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue transported the driver of the Dodge Charger and the passengers of each vehicle to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. The passenger of the Infinity was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Pascal remained on scene and cooperated with investigators.
