Two Dead After Deadly Crash In Pembroke Park

PEMBROKE PARK, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — Two men passed away after being involved in a deadly multi-vehicle car accident in Pembroke Park on Thursday, January 29th, 2023.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office,

Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit are investigating a multi-vehicle fatal crash that occurred in Pembroke Park Thursday night.

At approximately 9:21 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 19,  Broward County Regional Communications received a call to assist another agency in a crash near the 5100 block of Southwest 41st Street in Pembroke Park. BSO West Park District deputies and Fire Rescue responded.

The preliminary investigation revealed a collision occurred between two vehicles. Detectives said the driver of a 2021 Ram 1500 TRX pickup truck was traveling westbound on Southwest 41st Street. Meanwhile, the driver of a 2018 Mercedes Benz S450 sedan was traveling eastbound conducting a left turn to enter an apartment complex. The Ram struck the Mercedes causing both vehicles to roll over multiple times. During the crash, a pedestrian was also injured.

Paramedics transported six individuals to several local hospitals with life threatening injuries. According to investigators, the driver of the Mercedes and the pedestrian were pronounced deceased. The other individuals sustained critical to minor injuries.

Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit detectives were notified and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this fatal traffic crash at the request of the Pembroke Park Police Department.

BSO says that the investigation is ongoing.
