Arcade Time, Kids Empire Open at Mall at Wellington Green as Maha Town Pivots to Events

WELLINGTON, FL — The Mall at Wellington Green added two family entertainment venues in eight days — and a longtime family-run tenant had already overhauled its concept to make room.

Arcade Time Entertainment held its ribbon-cutting on June 27, and Kids Empire opened its Wellington location on July 4, both drawing families to the mall on West Forest Hill Boulevard. A third tenant, Maha Town, said it converted its indoor playground into a private event venue about three months earlier in anticipation of Kids Empire's arrival.

The changes reshape a chunk of the mall's family-entertainment footprint in central Palm Beach County.

Wellington Vice Mayor Maria Antuña, Councilwoman Amanda Silvestri, and Councilman Johnny H. Meier attended the Arcade Time ribbon-cutting, according to a Village of Wellington post announcing the opening. Representatives from the Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County also joined the event.

Arcade Time Entertainment is located at 10300 Forest Hill Blvd., Unit 122, near the food court entrance. The venue offers arcade games, virtual reality experiences, motion-simulation rides, food, party packages, and a bar area for adults, the village said.

The Arcade Time opening coincided with National Video Game Day.

One week later, Kids Empire opened at 10300 W. Forest Hill Blvd., Suite 268. The indoor playground chain said its Wellington location has more than 15,000 square feet and includes slides, climbing structures, obstacle courses, and imaginative play areas. According to its opening announcement, the first 25 guests received free admission, and the grand-opening hours ran from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The new arrival prompted a smaller mall tenant to change course.

Maha Town, a family-owned business at the mall, said in a July 5 statement that it removed its playground and transformed into a private event venue about three months ago after learning Kids Empire was coming. The business said it now hosts baby showers, birthdays, and corporate events.

"We had to change in order to stay," Maha Town said in the statement, describing the pivot as a difficult but necessary decision for a small family business. The company said it wished Kids Empire success and would be open to collaborating with the new tenant.

The Mall at Wellington Green is located at 10300 W. Forest Hill Blvd. in Wellington. Arcade Time and Kids Empire have not announced changes to their operating details beyond what was included in their opening posts. Maha Town said it is now booking private events at the mall.
