Sakiyna Thompson Charged With Murder

Broward Sheriff’s Office has arrested 28-year-old Sakiyna Thompson from New York for murder.

A New York woman was arrested this Wednesday for her involvement in the murder of a Tamarac woman.
Through investigative means, BSO detectives determined Sakiyna Thompson played a role in the victim’s murder. A warrant for her arrest was then obtained on Monday, July 25.
On Wednesday, Aug. 3, Thompson was taken into custody by New York Police Department officers in Springfield Gardens, New York. She is expected to be extradited to Broward County to face one charge of murder in the first degree.
The investigation continues.

TAMARAC, FL (Boca Post) — Broward Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that they are actively investigating the homicide of a woman who was found deceased in a home near the 9300 block of NW 57th Street in Tamarac.
From Broward Sheriff’s Office:
At approximately 3 p.m., on Wednesday, July 13, Broward County Regional Communications received a call reporting an adult female found unresponsive inside a home near the 9300 block of Northwest 57th Street in Tamarac.
Broward Sheriff’s Office district deputies and Tamarac Fire Rescue also responded to the scene and determined the person was deceased.
BSO Homicide Unit and Crime Scene detectives were notified and continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this homicide. The Broward Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death.
