BROWARD COUNTY, FL — A missing persons alert issued for a 12-year-old girl from North Lauderdale has been closed after BSO detectives said she was safely located.
Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit located 12-year-old Kimora McMinns, according to an update released by BSO. Investigators said she has since been reunited with family.
The alert was issued after she was last seen at about 7 a.m. Sunday, June 21, near the 6800 block of Southwest 17th Street, BSO said.
BSO’s Missing Persons Unit handled the case and provided the update on her status. No additional details were released in the update.

BROWARD COUNTY, FL — Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are searching for a missing 12-year-old and asking the public to help locate her.
BSO’s Missing Persons Unit said Kimora McMinns was last seen at about 7 a.m. Sunday, June 21, near the 6800 block of Southwest 17th Street in North Lauderdale.
Investigators said she was last seen wearing black shorts, a black shirt, pink sandals, and a black and purple bonnet.
BSO described McMinns as about 5 feet 4 inches tall and about 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
The search is being handled by the Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit. BSO is asking anyone who has information about where she may be to contact Missing Persons Detective Chris Blankenship at 954-321-4268.
