FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — One year has passed since Destiny Bucknor tragically lost her life to a bullet and detectives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office are still actively seeking clues to apprehend the perpetrator.

As Boca Post originally reported, Destiny Bucknor was shot and killed on July 4th, 2023.

The incident took place near the 2900 block of Northwest Eighth Street in Unincorporated Central Broward. Destiny Bucknor, a 19 year old female residing at 3120 N.W. 19th Street in Fort Lauderdale, was fatally shot while riding as a passenger in a convertible Slingshot vehicle driven by an adult male.

The authorities urge anyone with information related to this case to come forward and assist in bringing justice for Destiny Bucknor’s untimely death. A motive for the incident remains unclear.
