Florida Silver Alert Issued for Missing Woman From Lady Lake

FLORIDA — A Florida Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 69-year-old woman last known to be in Lady Lake in Sumter County, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

FDLE identified the missing person as Diane Stephens. She is described as a white woman with blonde hair and blue eyes. FDLE lists her height as 5 feet 4 inches and her weight as 120 pounds.

The last known area provided in the alert is Lady Lake, in Sumter County. The Silver Alert is a statewide notification intended to help locate missing older adults, and it relies on the public to report tips quickly when someone may be at risk.

Authority for the investigation and response sits with local law enforcement in the area where the person was last known to be. In this case, FDLE directed anyone with information to contact the Sumter County Sheriff's Office.

Residents who may be traveling through Central Florida, or who have family and friends in that area, should keep an eye out for anyone matching the description and report information immediately.
