FLORIDA — A Florida Silver Alert has been issued for a missing woman last known to be in Saint Augustine, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

FDLE said the alert is for Monalisa Marbut, 63, from Saint Augustine in St. Johns County. Silver Alerts are statewide notifications used to help locate missing adults, and the notice puts the case in front of the public quickly so tips can get to the agency responsible for the search.

Marbut is described as a white woman with brown hair and blue eyes. FDLE listed her height as 5 feet 2 inches and her weight as 250 pounds.

FDLE said Marbut was last known to be in the Saint Augustine area in St. Johns County. The agency did not release additional details in the alert about when she was last seen or what she was wearing.

Authority for the investigation and response sits with local law enforcement in St. Johns County. FDLE’s role is to issue the statewide alert and distribute identifying information.

Residents in South Florida may still see the Silver Alert and should treat it as an active missing-person notice. The most useful information is direct, specific and immediate: where and when someone may have seen her, and any details that help confirm identity.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the St Johns County Sheriff's Office at 904-824-8304 or call 911.

The FDLE flyer remains available online and may be updated as new information is released.
