FLORIDA — A Florida Missing Child Alert has been issued for a 15-year-old boy from Miami, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

FDLE identified the child as Mayke Reyes Jr. He is described as a white-Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes. FDLE listed his height as 5 feet 10 inches and his weight as 140 pounds.

The alert lists his last known area as Miami in Dade County.

Missing Child Alerts are used to quickly share identifying information with the public so tips can reach law enforcement fast. In South Florida, where travel between cities and counties is routine, the public notice matters because sightings and information can come from anywhere, not just the immediate neighborhood.

FDLE is the state agency distributing the alert. The Miami Police Department is the agency handling calls and tips tied to this case.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Miami Police Department at 305-579-6111 or call 911.

Residents who think they have seen the child, or have information that could help locate him, should call right away. The FDLE flyer remains available online through the state’s Missing Children Information Center.
