PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A motorcyclist was killed Sunday morning following a collision with a pickup truck along Donald Ross Road in Palm Beach Gardens, authorities said.

The crash happened around 9:36 a.m. on Jan. 4, according to a traffic homicide report from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred in the 4600 block of Donald Ross Road.

Investigators said the motorcyclist, identified as Spencer Holden, 26, of Palm Beach Gardens, was riding a 2025 Yamaha motorcycle eastbound in the inside lane of Donald Ross Road at a high rate of speed. At the same time, a 2017 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was traveling westbound in the left-turn lane approaching the plaza at 4600 Donald Ross Road.

According to the report, the pickup truck began making a left turn across the eastbound lanes. As the truck crossed, the motorcycle rapidly closed the gap between the two vehicles. The front of the motorcycle struck the passenger side of the truck’s bed.

The impact caused the pickup truck to rotate approximately 180 degrees, investigators said. Holden was ejected from the motorcycle during the collision and came to rest east of the crash site. The motorcycle broke into several pieces and came to a final rest near the rider.

Sadly, Holden was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck, identified as Casey Staniszewski, 26, of Jupiter, suffered minor injuries, according to the report. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Holden was wearing a helmet, investigators noted.

No information was released indicating impairment or alcohol involvement for either driver, and no charges were listed in the report.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division responded and documented the crash. Next of kin was notified, according to the report.

Donald Ross Road experienced disruptions in the area as investigators worked the scene and cleared debris from the roadway. No additional vehicles were involved.

The crash remains under investigation.
