BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Boca Raton residents will have a chance to meet the city’s police officers, firefighters, and paramedics in one place Saturday, Feb. 7, when the City of Boca Raton hosts its 2026 First Responder Expo at Town Center at Boca Raton.
The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Town Center mall parking lot at the corner of Glades Road and St. Andrews Boulevard, in the parking area of the former Sears location. The city is advertising the Expo as free and open to the public, with activities geared toward families and residents who want a closer look at local public safety operations.
Boca Raton Police Services Department and Boca Raton Fire Rescue are organizing the Expo as a meet-and-greet style community event, with live demonstrations and interactive displays planned throughout the day. Listed activities include live action firefighting, K-9 demonstrations, and motorcycle demonstrations, along with photo opportunities and informational displays from public safety personnel.
In addition to the demonstrations, organizers say attendees can expect giveaways, free food, interactive activities, and raffle opportunities. The raffle is being hosted by the Boca Raton Fire & Paramedics Benevolent, according to event materials.
The Expo also includes several health-focused components. Free blood pressure checks are planned on site. Mammograms will be offered through MammoVans, but appointments are required, based on the city’s event guidance. Organizers have directed residents to schedule in advance if they want that service during the event.
City officials are telling residents to plan ahead for arrival and parking. Free parking will be available in the Town Center mall lot, with directions pointing drivers to park across from the building on the south side facing Maggiano’s Little Italy and La Granja off St. Andrews Boulevard. Portable restrooms will be available, according to the city.
The event is planned to continue “rain or shine,” and city messaging has leaned heavily on the “Know Before You Go” theme to reduce confusion at a large public gathering and to keep families moving smoothly through the site.
Public safety agencies are also using the Expo as a platform to share basic safety reminders. Event materials include a warning that vehicle break-ins can happen quickly, urging attendees to lock their cars, remove personal items, and never leave keys inside. The city is also encouraging families to talk through a simple plan before arriving, including choosing a meet-up spot in case someone gets separated in the crowd.
