Robert Pakh Of Boca Raton Charged With DUI After Lake Worth Crash

LAKE WORTH, FL (Boca Post) — The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that they arrested 19-year-old Robert Pakh for DUI after he was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Lake Worth.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that at approximately 11:42 PM on Thursday, October 13th, 2022, deputies responded to a traffic crash at the intersection of Lantana Road and S. Military Trail in Lake Worth.

Responding PBSO district deputies and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue found a VW Jetta which flipped over with the driver, 19-year-old Robert Pakh of Boca Raton already out of the vehicle. Investigators say the vehicle appeared to attempt to make a right turn, traveling wide and striking the curb, causing it to roll over. Deputies found the vehicle on the southwest corner of the intersection on its roof.

A witness stated that while she was traveling on Lantana Rd and S Military Trl she saw the defendant’s vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. As the vehicle attempted to negotiate a turn it flipped over. She stated that she observed the defendant coming out of the vehicle.

According to the arrest affidavit, deputies report they observed that they suspected Pakh of being under the influence and noted the presence of the odor of an unknown alcoholic beverage which intensified as Pakh spoke to the deputy.

Pakh was transported to JFK Medical center by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. While at the hospital, deputies still requested Pakh perform field sobriety tests, to which Pakh refused. Pakh told deputies he wanted to speak to a lawyer and no longer wished to speak to them.

The report also implied that deputies asked for a blood sample which Pakh refused. Pakh then allegedly refused medical treatment and exited the hospital when deputies arrested him for DUI. Pakh was transported to the PBC Jail where he then demanded a lawyer and gain refused to provide a breath sample.

Pakh was later released without bond. Boca Post has learned that Pakh is being represented by defense attorney Michael Somera of Somera and Associates.
