DELRAY BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — Michael Dominguez of Delray Beach was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer for pushing a Delray Beach Police Officer to the ground after being asked to leave the VIP area of Honey.

The following incident occurred at 16 E Atlantic Ave (Honey), in The City of Delray Beach, Palm Beach County, FL.

On 7/30/2022, while Officer Gordon was working his off-duty detail located at Honey (16 E Atlantic Ave) in full police attire Honey staff advised that they needed a white male, later identified as Michael Dominguez, to leave the VIP area. Officer Gordon stood by as staff attempted to speak and reason with Mr. Dominguez.

Officer Gordon then approached Mr. Dominguez and told him that he needed to leave. He then stated that he was going to get his girlfriend. Officer Gordon explained that he needed to leave and that he would look for his girlfriend once Mr. Dominguez left. Mr. Dominguez then grew upset and tried to walk past Officer Gordon. Officer Gordon then placed his arm out and stated that he could not walk past him and needed to walk towards the exit.

Mr. Dominguez then grabbed Officer Gordon’s vest and pushed him to the ground. Officer Gordon immediately got up and activated his taser and advised Mr. Dominguez that he needed to walk to the exit now or he would be tazered.

Officer Gordon advised dispatch that he needed additional units at Honey. Mr. Dominguez then walked towards the exit, where he was placed in handcuffs without further issue.
