The Coral Springs Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee is organizing the Annual MLK Golf Classic ‘Golfing for the King’ on Friday, March 8th at the Country Club of Coral Springs (10800 W Sample Road). This tournament aims to support the MLK Scholarship Fund, which offers financial assistance and educational support to high school seniors in Coral Springs, regardless of their ethnicity.

“The MLK Committee and city staff put forth so much effort to create a memorable experience for participants, while raising money to benefit future leaders in our community, said Commissioner Joshua Simmons who serves the committee liaison. “Just like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, ‘When we help others, we become part of something bigger than ourselves.’ This tournament and the additional work done throughout the year helps and empower others, and that is something I am incredibly proud of.”

Registration will start at 7 a.m. And the event will officially begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The participation fee is $150 per person. Companies can also register as corporate foursomes for $1,500, which includes recognition as a Par Sponsor on the city website, an exclusive hole sign and logo placement on the event photo backdrop. Following the tournament, there will be an award lunch served buffet style. The deadline to enter is Friday, March 1st.

Get ready for some fun by participating in raffle ticket draws and enjoy refreshing beverages while playing on the course.
