CORAL SPRINGS, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — Coral Springs Regional Institute of Public Safety recognized as Florida Fire Service Training and Education Provider of the Year.

The Coral Springs Parkland Fire Department and its members are excited to announce that the Coral Springs Regional Institute of Public Safety (CSRIPS) has been chosen as the recipient of the ‘Florida Fire Service Training and Education Provider of the Year’ award for an unprecedented fifth time by the Florida Fire Training Directors Association.

Previously recognized in 2007, 2011, 2013 and 2017, this accolade in 2023 further solidifies the institute’s exceptional contributions to fire service training and education.

Established in 1999, CSRIPS has consistently demonstrated excellence in fire service training, making a significant impact not only at a regional level but also at state and national levels. Through a wide range of innovative programs such as minimum standards firefighter training, emergency medical technician courses, paramedic certifications, AED training, stop the bleed techniques, fire service career development programs and technical rescue training among others. CSRIPS also prioritizes mental wellness through initiatives like Struggle Well that support first responders well being. The institute’s ability to adapt to evolving needs sets it apart within its field.

“Recognition on a state-level is a testament to the dedication and expertise of CSRIPS Operations Manager Elizabeth Williams and her staff, which includes over 100 part-time instructors from various agencies. Their commitment to excellence is evident in the institute’s impressive track record, including a 100% state exam passing rate for the Firefighter I & II Class”, said Fire Chief Michael McNally.

This recognition highlights the commendable community focused initiatives undertaken by CSRIPS, including hosting important fire service projects like the annual Job Fair & Career Expo and organizing the Fire Explorer/Cadet Competition. These endeavors not only contribute to professional growth but also actively encourage community involvement and assistance.
