BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Boca West Country Club, one of Boca Raton’s largest private club operations, has been named Club of the Year by Golf Business Network, a national organization that works with professionals in the private golf and country club sector.
The award was presented at Golf Business Network’s Annual Award event in Orlando. The event coincided with the PGA Show, the golf industry’s major annual gathering that draws club leaders, vendors, and professionals from around the country.
Golf Business Network said Boca West was nominated by peers and selected from more than 200 nominations. The honor, the organization said, is intended to recognize standout performance in the private club space, including leadership, innovation, member service, and efforts tied to advancing the game.
Boca West was recognized for leading a large, highly successful operation with “exceptional member satisfaction and sustained growth,” according to the announcement. The club was also cited for having a cohesive team that is deeply engaged with Golf Business Network and supportive of its mission.
In addition to Club of the Year, Golf Business Network’s annual awards include categories such as General Manager of the Year, Golf Professional of the Year, Rising Star of the Year, Assistant Golf Professional of the Year, and Merchandiser of the Year.

“We are so honored to named Club of the Year, and nominated by our peers from around the nation,” Boca West President, COO and General Manager Matthew Linderman said in the announcement. “This recognition is a true testament to the dedicated team at Boca West, as well as our members.”
Boca West is based in Boca Raton in Palm Beach County and operates as a private, resident-only country club community. The club’s amenities include four championship golf courses, a USTA tennis facility, a spa, and six restaurants, along with year-round social programming across the community’s 1,400 acres, according to the club.
The club recently completed a $45 million Club Expansion Program, which included a 96,000-square-foot aquatics center with five pools and a new restaurant bar, the announcement said. Boca West also cited a full-scale renovation of its two-story sports center complex with space planned for spin, aerobics, Pilates, and core training. Additional projects described in the announcement include a spa relaxation courtyard with an outdoor wet area and an outdoor rooftop bar and terrace overlooking the Palmer Golf Course.
Boca West also pointed to a long list of national industry recognitions it has received over the years, including being named a Platinum Clubs of the World member since 2017 and currently ranked tied for 4th out of 150 by Club Leaders Forum, according to the announcement. The club said it has held a 5-Star Private Club ranking by Platinum Clubs of America since 1997 and has been recognized since 2013 as an Elite Distinguished World Club by BoardRoom magazine. Boca West also cited a 2013 USTA Outstanding Facility Award and said it has received the AGM Platinum Award by the Association of Golf Merchandisers each year since 2019.
Separately, Boca West said it has been named a Top Workplaces winner by Energage for seven consecutive years.
For Boca Raton residents, the recognition lands as another example of the city’s outsized footprint in the private club and luxury residential space, where large-scale operations compete nationally on member experience, amenities, and staffing. Boca West’s Club of the Year award, as described by Golf Business Network, was driven by performance at scale — and by a team-based approach that the organization said stood out among hundreds of nominations.
